Need proof of this? I have the email correspondence------and recordings of the phone calls!
I should note here that ALL phone calls on my office line are routinely recorded----we do securities trading that is highly regulated by the S.E.C., which is why we record. Steve McCusker's call was routinely, not specifically, recorded (worried here that Liz will twist this into some kind of statement that I recorded her husband because I so love hearing his voice, since she has a history of interpreting actions in such a way). He phoned me at my office, and thus was routinely recorded.....just like every client who calls me on that line.
So here's a classic example of how Steve turns to me when he needs something. This took place LONG AFTER my initial lawsuit against Steve; and even after he was aware of my defamation lawsuit against his wife:
Liz's son by her other husband Ron had left their house and disappeared. Although they believed he had gone to a Group Home, Liz----as any mother would be-----was very worried.
Liz's son has some mental health issues. He is a sophisticated internet user who for many years has posted various pictures of himself on a multitude of web sites, including graphic videos of himself having anal sex with an appliance. It was clear that if he had not gone to a safe home, he could be at extreme risk from predators.
So to whom did Steve turn to help find the son? Me! Because I am a Corporator at one of the most respected (and nearly 200-year-old) behaviour health organizations in the country, it made some sense for him to ask me for help. Additionally I had a lot of experience working with abused children in the Maine Court system. Thus I did have some insights and contacts that the McCuskers would not have had.
So if I'm this horrible person who is out to get them, why would I help? A better question: WHY WOULD HE PHONE ME TO HELP?????
I strongly believe in treating people fairly. I also believe in community----that is, if someone's mentally-challenged kid is missing, you help. It doesn't matter how badly that parent may have treated you; you help.
I also believe in the strong bonds of old friendship. Steve McCusker and I have been friends for decades. We share many mutual friends. So perhaps I'm an idiot who has been taken advantage of by an immoral person, who uses me when convenient. I don't know; I shall leave it to you, the reader, to decide.
